Welcome to dapacreative. I'm Dan Smith, a web designer and developer living in St. Louis Missouri. I decided a year ago that I needed a website that I could showcase my capabilites and allow me to learn some new tricks of the trade. The first thing you learn when designing for yourself is that you are your own worst client. I must have come up with 2 or 3 concepts before I settled on the right design. But days turned to months and I was no further along having a functional website then when I first made the decision.

Fast forward a year later and I revisit my perfect design. It turns out that I didn't like it as much as I thought I did. So I went back to the drawing boards and decided that I needed to create a website that had everything I wanted. This included a content manager, great javascript functionality and a style switcher that would allow me to come up with as many designs as I wanted.

I truly enjoy designing and developing websites and I hope that I can share that enthusiasm with your next web project.
